Affiliate disclosure
Last updated 7 November 2026
The checker is free to use. To pay for it, some links on this site are affiliate links. If you click one and buy something, the retailer may pay us a small commission. You pay the same price either way.
How you can tell
- Every buy button that is an affiliate link has a small "Affiliate link" label next to it.
- Every link to a retailer is marked as sponsored in the page code, which tells search engines it may be paid.
- The footer of every page repeats this disclosure.
Programmes we belong to
We are not part of any affiliate programme yet. Links to retailers currently earn us nothing. We will list each programme here as soon as we join it.
How we rank kits
Kits are ranked only by value for your answers: how quickly each kit pays for itself, which is its price divided by what it would save on your bills each year. A kit that saves you more for less money comes first.
On the Deals page, offers are sorted by the biggest percentage off the normal price, then by the lower price. The rest of the kits are listed cheapest first.
Commission plays no part. We do not accept payment to list a kit, to move it up the list, or to leave a rival out. If a kit pays us nothing, or the retailer has no affiliate programme at all, it is still listed and ranked the same way.
How we check products
- We only list complete plug-in kits whose exact model is listed as Compliant on the Energy Networks Association (ENA) Type Test Register.
- Each kit shows the date we last checked its price. Prices and stock change quickly, so always check the retailer before you buy.
- Power and size figures come from the maker or the retailer's listing.
